About

I am an independent journalist, writer and photographer based in Atlanta, Ga.

My work (text and images) on public health, development and environmental conservation has appeared in the New York Times, NPR, Newsweek, Businessweek, Foreign Policy, the Guardian, the LA Times and The Daily Beast among other leading outlets.

In addition to my work as a journalist, I produce and edit communications materials for institutions and NGOs, including the World Health Organization, Doctors Without Borders, USAID, RTI International, the Task Force for Global Health, Emory University, and the Carter Center.

I hold a BA from Duke University and an MPH from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University.

I have traveled extensively and can do so at short notice.
